Engineering Stores Person (Dayshift/Mon-Fri)
Location: Albert Bartlett, Airdrie
Albert Bartlett is a family-owned company and the UK’s leading supplier of potatoes. Our story began in 1948 when Albert Bartlett started our family tradition of selling good-quality produce by setting up a beetroot-boiling operation in Coatbridge, Scotland. Today, we proudly supply potatoes from our network of farmers and growers across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Jersey. Our headquarters are in Airdrie, only four miles from our founder’s original business.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Engineering Stores Person to join our team in Airdrie. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, managing spare parts inventory, and ensuring accurate documentation. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will be crucial in supporting our engineering team and ensuring smooth operations.
Responsibilities
About The Role
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Order spare parts to maintain minimum stock levels.
- Receive spares into stores – logging and storing as required.
- Obtain quotes to ensure best price purchases.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and received onto our ERP system.
- Maintain a high attention to detail at all times.
- Inform the engineering team leader of any supply issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems.
