Job Description

Hotel Talent is delighted to announce a position as a Chef de Partie to join a renowned kitchen team in a 4* Hotel. The ideal candidate will aim to contribute to the production of the highest possible food quality in the delegated section, and to co-ordinate and be responsible for staff in the delegated section. All production is carried out in line with appropriate food portion control, the departmental business plan, and service concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and properly garnishes all food orders as they are received in accordance with menu specifications, insuring proper plate presentation
  • Sets up for lunch and dinner by ensuring proper amounts are in place for forecasted covers, special functions and all reservations
  • Orders adequate supplies for own section, and sets up mis-en-place for section
  • Work closely with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure the highest standards are met and followed
  • Follows and adheres to proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices
  • Confers closely with the Sous Chef and takes every opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of his or her position, to be ready to fill in whenever required
  • Knows how to follow applicable laws regarding food safety and sanitation
  • Additional ad- hoc duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-4 years experience preferably at a similar level or at Demi Chef de Partie level.
  • Must be passionate about food and service.
  • Enjoys working in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Must have HACCP knowledge & experience.
