Role Description: Senior People Operations Generalist

Role Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Senior People Operations Generalist to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in administering and optimizing our organization’s people operations functions. As a true generalist, this position offers the opportunity to engage in all areas of People Operations, including benefits administration, project management, policy development, compliance, leave of absence management, compensation, immigration, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience working for a fast-paced global startup, be a strategic thinker, detail-oriented, possess strong analytical and problem-solving

skills, and be excited to contribute to a wide range of HR initiatives.

This role reports directly to the Senior Manager of People Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Benefits: Act as a subject matter expert and liaison between employees and benefits providers, ensuring seamless communication and addressing any benefits-related concerns.
  • Policies & Compliance: Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with legal regulations and organizational standards.
  • Leave of Absence Management: Oversee employee leave of absence requests, including medical leave, family leave, and other statutory or non-statutory absences. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with employees and managers.
  • Immigration: Immigration-related responsibilities, including visa processing, work authorization, and compliance with immigration laws. Serve as a liaison between employees, legal teams, and external immigration service providers to ensure smooth handling of immigration matters.
  • Compensation: Assist with the administration of compensation programs, including salary benchmarking, job evaluations, and incentive programs.
  • Project Management: Take on ad-hoc project management responsibilities related to HR initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time and aligned with business goals.
  • Employee Support: Monitor, resolve, and provide guidance on various employee inquiries related to HR, policies, benefits, and other employee-related topics.
  • Cross-Training Support: Be cross-trained to support other members of the People Operations team, ensuring a smooth workflow across various HR functions and contributing to team collaboration and coverage when needed.

Requirements:

  • Startup Experience: Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, with the ability to adapt quickly and handle multiple priorities.
  • International Experience: Experience supporting employees in international locations and navigating global HR practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR/People Operations experience in fast growing organizations providing full range support in all areas.
  • Knowledge of FLSA regulations and guidelines and their practical application in HR operations.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of human resources regulations, state and federal employment law.
  • Expert level attention to detail in every aspect of work.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sense of humor a must!
