What To Expect
The Associate will play a central role in Tesla’s investment management activities, including transaction operations, investment analytics, security valuations, performance reporting, compliance, and audit activities for Tesla’s investment portfolios. The new team member will work collaboratively with internal business partners from treasury, accounting, tax, technology, legal, financial planning, insurance, and other operational teams. The Associate will be an effective communicator who can interface with senior leadership, trading partners, and service providers. Finally, a successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrated aptitude for being a team player, and have a strong dose of common sense, practicality, and adaptability.

What You’ll Do

  • Leading transaction operations, investment analytics, compliance, and audit activity for Tesla’s investment portfolios
  • Managing internal and external performance reporting
  • Creating analytical dashboards to support strategic decision making, understand portfolio dynamics, and manage risk
  • Supporting the development of internal investment management systems
  • Maintaining and building relationships with key banking and trading partners and engaging with 3rd party service providers
  • Providing recommendations on individual investments, investment strategies, and updates to Tesla’s corporate investment policy
  • Overseeing other strategic treasury and capital markets projects as necessary

  • What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in investment management, corporate finance, investment banking, sales and trading, or treasury operations with a strong track record of superior performance
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, negotiation, and communication skills and ability to convey complicated and technical points clearly to a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience working cross-functionally with treasury, legal, accounting, tax, financial planning, IT, and other operational teams
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles and treasury operations
  • Expert with Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Tableau

  • Expected Compensation

    $68,000 – $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
