Job Description

Under general direction, this position acts as a liaison between customers and Ferrellgas locations that serve them. The incumbent handles various stages of bid submission, bid award, and contract management.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports a portfolio of government contracts throughout the lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, performance, and terminations
  • Reviews and analyzes bid opportunities, ensuring alignment with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
  • Collaborates with local sales teams, and other teams to gather necessary information for bid submission
  • Reviews, drafts, and submits responses to RFP requests timely and accurately; some submissions can be 50+ pages
  • Prepares and disperses information to appropriate staff members regarding contract status
  • Maintains accurate contract files including original documents, correspondence, and amendments on internal servers
  • Manages dedicated email inbox daily, responding to customer concerns and questions in a timely manner
  • Facilitates and leads occasional conference calls with internal team members as well as customers
  • Produces weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports via excel
  • Assist National Accounts Team as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or similar is preferred
  • 2+ years project management and/or contract experience; preferred but not required
  • Propane industry experience is a plus, but not required
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrate strong time management
  • Self-motivated, creative, and results-driven
  • Solid PC spreadsheet modeling skills. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience working independently as well as collaboratively; effectively managing competing priorities while meeting hard deadlines in a fast-paced working environment
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong public speaking skills required
  • PeopleSoft experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
