About the role
Base is seeking a creative and data-driven Social Media Manager to oversee its organic Instagram and YouTube presence while developing engaging content for paid advertising campaigns. This role requires a strong understanding of social media strategy, content creation, and performance analytics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for increasing engagement, growing the brand’s digital presence, and creating compelling content that resonates with the target audience.
Location: Remote / Hybrid
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute organic content strategies for Instagram and YouTube to drive engagement and brand awareness
- Plan and create high-quality, on-brand content, including posts, reels, stories, and videos
- Monitor social media trends, audience insights, and platform updates to optimize content strategy
- Analyze engagement metrics and performance data to refine social media tactics
- Conceptualize and create engaging content for paid ad campaigns on Meta Ads Manager
- Write compelling ad copy and design visually appealing creatives that drive conversions
- Collaborate with the team to ensure ad content aligns with broader marketing goals
- Engage with the online community by responding to comments and messages to build brand loyalty
- Report on social media performance with actionable insights for continuous improvement
A typical day in this role
- Morning – Content Planning & Strategy: Review social media insights, plan content to align with trends, and create/edit video and graphic content for upcoming posts
- Midday – Community Engagement: Monitor comments and messages, interact with followers, and foster conversations to enhance engagement
- Afternoon – Ad Creative Development: Brainstorm and produce engaging ad creatives for paid campaigns, refine messaging, and ensure alignment with marketing goals
- Evening – Performance Review & Adjustments: Analyze engagement metrics and ad performance, making strategic adjustments for future content
Ideal candidate qualifications
- 2+ years of experience managing social media accounts and creating engaging content, preferably for a brand
- Strong understanding of Instagram and YouTube algorithms, trends, and best practices
- Excellent copywriting and content creation skills
- Proficiency in graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Suite, with a strong eye for design and aesthetics
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies accordingly
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills with the ability to craft engaging captions, ad copy, and community responses
