We are seeking an experienced Registrar to join our team at GEMS Wellington International School with an immediate start.

  • Drive enrolments to achieve or exceed admissions targets while providing excellent customer service to prospective families.
  • Recruit, train and manage the admissions team, ensuring effective engagement with families and successful student enrolments.
  • Oversee the registration process, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining complete student records.
  • Manage annual enrolment processes, including re-enrolments, Parent-School Contracts and student registrations within set timelines.
  • Prepare enrolment reports for the Principal/CEO and corporate office, covering current enrolments, waiting lists, vacant seats and conversion data.
  • Meet regularly with school leadership to review enrolment projections and strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Principal/CEO, SLT, and Front of House team to develop and implement enrolment strategies to meet budget targets.
  • Maintain accurate records for all applicants, enrolled students, exiting students and alumni, ensuring all exit documentation is completed.
  • Stay up to date with Ministry of Education regulations and other governing bodies to ensure compliance throughout the admissions process.
  • Ensure adherence to GEMS policies, procedures and codes of conduct while addressing audit requirements in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by direct and dotted reporting managers.

Skills

Expected Qualifications:

  • A college Degree from a reputed university is desirable (BA or BSc) Expected Experience:
  • A minimum two years in a customer service focused role.
  • Proven success with meeting sales targets is mandatory; ability to influence the team to deliver quality results and meet sales targets consistently is critical.
  • Relationship management experience – able to build and influence professional relationships with peer group as well as parental community.
  • Effective communicator (written and spoken)
  • Interpersonal skills, able to operate in a diverse environment Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills:
  • Solid time management skills – ability to multi-task and cope with peaks of demand
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office and able to utilise technology well to present facts to the management.
  • Able to manage a diverse team’s performance and relationships.
