What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Provide educational and support programs that enhance deployment and mission readiness for service members and their families
  • Conduct outreach efforts targeting at-risk groups, including isolated families and first-term service members
  • Deliver training and workshops for Command Family Readiness Groups on various military support topics
  • Facilitate career decision-making and personal financial management for service members and their families
  • Maintain accurate records of services delivered in the scheduling module of the FFSMIS

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a social science or related behavioral science field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in providing advocacy services and collaborating with resources
  • Strong communication, assessment, and advocacy skills
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and local resources, particularly in relation to military families
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience working with family programs or social service agencies, preferably in a military context
  • Understanding of the military lifestyle as a military family member
  • Knowledge of the FFSMIS system is a plus
