Key Responsibilities

Developing and driving overall Supply Chain Organization effectiveness

  • Update the organizational structure as per the needs of the business.
  • Ensure the “right people in the right role”
  • Establish and align roles and responsibilities, KPIs, and incentives to instill a customer service mindset.
  • Analyze operations to evaluate the performance of a department and its staff in meeting objectives and to determine areas of potential improvement concerning organization, processes, customer service, and the utilization of technology.
  • Direct, plan, and implement policies, objectives, and activities of departments to maximize quality of services and products, efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Build & execute a roadmap that will update the Thai Silk factory to be best in class

Accountable for overall budget, capital and resource allocation.

  • Manage all department spending by approved budget and company objectives.
  • Set up best-in-class Supply Chain processes and operations. Balance near and longer-term supply chain excellence objectives, align with CEO and key stakeholders on key improvement initiative roadmap and drive execution and outcome
  • Conference with CEO and other internal stakeholders to discuss issues, coordinate activities, and resolve problems requiring cross-departmental solutions

Build the Quality function.

  • Ensure top quality for in-house and outsourced products across raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods

Drive substantial, sustainable improvement on operational metrics

  • Improve forecast and planning accuracy – right stock at the right location at the right time
  • Optimize total cost
  • Improve internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Improve internal cross-functional collaboration across all steps of the supply chain, enhance relationships and partnership between factories, rest of supply chain and stores
  • Share market and supply chain development insights with management, key stakeholders and partners; ensure effective communication.
  • Provide strategic input into Design, Merchandise, Manufacturing and Commercial teams regarding Procurement implications and tradeoffs
  • Prepare or present reports concerning activities, expenses, and budgets.
  • Review reports submitted by staff members to recommend approval or to suggest changes.
  • Incorporate sustainability and ESG measures focusing on the E and at the Thai Silk Factory into all practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record leading end-to-end Supply Chain operations in Asia (at least 10 years); ideally, has driven substantial transformation and quality improvement.
  • Experience in large multinational or international groups.
  • Set up and managed with S&OP team.
  • Experience working for companies with their factories, managing a factory manager.
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing will be a plus
  • Textile/apparel/Footwear/Accessories background
  • Managed a procurement dept
  • Expertise in setting up PLM software
  • Become a familiar user of SAP
  • Took the lead in ESG projects (on the manufacturing side)
  • Inventory Management experience
  • Reducing time to market (from design to customer touch point)

  • Strategic, forward-looking, and attuned to major supply chain and operational development trends, including digitalization, process improvement, and sustainability etc.;
  • Hands-on, scrappy, detail-oriented; comfortable with ambiguity, has the entrepreneurial mindset and will partner with the CEO and management team to set supply chain strategy and continue to elevate operational excellence.
  • Low ego, humility to learn and adapt from existing Jim Thompson organization; balanced approach in building resonance, alignment across the organization and driving change.
  • Strong ability to recruit, develop, and elevate the team;
  • Strong communicator the ability to connect the dots and communicate across the Board, Senior Management team, and all levels of the organization.
  • While Thai language is not required, strong awareness and keenness to learn about the Thai culture and operating mindset are a must.
