About The Role
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance team by contributing to record-to-report processes, preparing month-end results, and analysing financial performance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual training towards an accredited accountancy qualification who wants to develop their expertise in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of month-end financial results, including P&L analysis and commentary.
- Specialise in a product area, supporting analysis and review.
- Produce balance sheet reconciliations and upload them into bespoke Floqast software.
- Develop an understanding of accounting standards such as IFRS15 and IFRS16.
- Identify and contribute to process improvements within the team.
- Work with large volumes of data using specialist finance applications and Excel.
- Adhere to accounting standards, policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Respond to ad hoc queries and provide insightful analysis for internal and external auditors.
What Were Looking For
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Actively training towards an accountancy qualification.
- Experience with accounting software.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
