As an Associate Brand Manager for Bespoke Post House Brands you will help guide products and seasonal collections through the full product lifecycle. Working with the Director of Brand Management, you will have a pivotal role in growing our dynamic group of private brands engaging in each step from initial concept to site merchandising. The core of your duties will be partnering directly with our lead hardgoods Product Developer in advancing our Ash & Fir (Home), Marcellin (Kitchen and Bar), and Wren (Outdoor Gear), while also supporting the overall Brand Management team with daily tasks for our apparel lines Line of Trade and Fieldworth, as well as our travel brand Halfday.

Your responsibilities will include the collaborative development and execution of strategic assortment plans, working closely with planning and buying, overseeing sample management from SMS to studio, and executing key product launches. You will operate with a high level of ownership and autonomy, smoothly coordinating with departments such as Buying, Design, Product Development, marketing, and Creative. This role demands a blend of creativity and analytical skills, empowering you to make informed decisions and effectively manage hands-on responsibilities. This is a rare opportunity to hone the interconnected skills required to develop fully realized brands.

In this role, you’ll work out of our NYC office at least 3 days per week.

You will:

  • Partner with your manager, Buyers, and Product Development teams to design comprehensive assortment roadmaps that ensure our product lineup remains innovative and relevant
  • Collaborate extensively with the Product Development team to acquire costing, MOQ, and delivery information for dissemination to relevant departments
  • Identify and recommend new product opportunities through in-depth seasonal market inspiration presentations paired with sales analysis
  • Conduct quality assurance for product descriptions, catalogs, emails, and marketing materials to ensure accuracy in naming, color, design, and pricing
  • Assist in the refinement of brand guidelines, ensuring products align with overarching brand strategies
  • Support the Director of Brand Management and the Planning team in setting financial objectives and executing sales plans
  • Performing business analyses and identifying opportunities based on previous seasonal performance
  • Facilitate each stage of Product Development from concept through launch, collaborating with internal teams including Product Development, Creative, Design, Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, Public Relations, and Operations
  • Contribute to the development of seasonal concepts and manage line plans across various categories
  • Assist in the execution of product launches and marketing strategies across websites, editorials, emails, social media, and PR
  • Work with the Creative team to ensure that the visual brand identity accurately reflects the intended positioning and remains consistent across all assets
  • Manage SMS samples for wholesale, PR, photo shoots, and trade shows, ensuring they are well-organized and distributed efficiently
  • Oversee sample and product information distribution to buyers for photoshoots
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, self-motivation, and acute attention to detail
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization with the ability to guide others towards a unified brand vision
  • Adopt an agile mindset and quickly adapt to changes

  • Understand domestic and overseas manufacturing processes and timelines

The ideal candidate:

  • Has 3-5 years of experience in brand management, buying, or product development
  • Has a keen eye for great product, is ferociously curious, and has an incredible attention to detail
  • Can look broadly at the competitor landscape, filter truth from bluster, and glean market trends and opportunities
  • Has an ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes
  • Is comfortable presenting to a group making sure key information is driven home
  • Has a positive, scrappy, and “no task is beneath me” attitude – you’re willing to roll up your sleeves to complete work as needed
  • Has a collaborative personality and strong interpersonal skills – you’re able to work cross-functionally with all teams balancing the workloads of others and the priorities of your project(s)
  • Thrives in startup environments – you’re flexible and can adapt to shifting goals, plus skilled at handling various tasks
  • Has an organized nature and gets as much joy from a spreadsheet as a styling deck
