Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled PPC Manager / Account Manager with deep expertise in Amazon Advertising to manage and optimize high-budget ad campaigns. This remote role is a hybrid between PPC management (75%) and client communication (25%), requiring both strong analytical skills and excellent client-facing communication.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing Amazon PPC accounts with budgets exceeding $50,000 per month, using tools like Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or SmartScout for keyword research and optimization. They should also have a strong understanding of Amazon’s broader ecosystem, including how PPC interacts with organic rankings, inventory, and the overall flywheel effect.
While reporting is automated through our fully functional BI system, the PPC Manager will be responsible for analyzing the data, providing strategic insights, and explaining their decision- making process. Client-facing interactions will be minimal, with a maximum of 3-4 hours per week dedicated to client calls and formal yet client-friendly email communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Amazon PPC Strategy & Execution
- Develop, manage, and optimize PPC campaigns (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and potentially DSP).
- Handle monthly advertising budgets north of $50,000, focusing on ROAS, TACoS, profitability, and KPI alignment.
- Data-Driven Optimization
- Leverage Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or SmartScout for in-depth keyword research.
- Review real-time data and automated BI reports, identifying trends to refine campaign strategies.
- Amazon Flywheel Alignment
- Integrate PPC efforts with overall brand goals, organic rankings, and inventory considerations for maximum impact.
- Monitor competitors’ advertising tactics and adapt accordingly.
- Client Interaction
- Dedicate 3-4 hours per week to client calls, providing clear, professional, and strategic performance updates.
- Maintain a formal but friendly communication style through emails and scheduled calls.
- Collaborate with clients to establish realistic KPIs based on their objectives and market conditions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal teams on campaign performance, product lifecycle goals, and inventory considerations.
- Offer insights on improving overall brand presence and profitability within the Amazon ecosystem.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Amazon PPC experience, managing budgets of $50K+/month.
- Expertise in Amazon Advertising (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, DSP preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or SmartScout for keyword research and market analysis.
- Deep understanding of how PPC affects organic ranking, inventory planning, and brand growth (the Amazon Flywheel).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both in writing (client-friendly emails) and speaking (client calls).
- Proven organizational ability, capable of managing multiple large-scale accounts simultaneously.
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Amazon DSP.
- Familiarity with inventory forecasting and its impact on PPC.
- Knowledge of SEO and how it interacts with paid media.
- Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) for Amazon listings.
