The School of Digital Humanities, School of Water Science and Food Security, School of Sciences, Graduate School of Education by the presidential decree No. 368/2024.
For The Next September (Fall 2025), The Industrial Engineering Program In The School Of Engineering And Applied Sciences Is Seeking To Recruit Outstanding And Visionary Candidates Who Can Contribute To Conducting Research And Teaching Courses In Any Of The Following Topics
- Operations Research
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Quality Control
- Facilities Planning
- Operation Management
- Modeling and Simulation
- Safety Engineering
The successful candidates will have a proven track record of academic and research excellence, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for developing the next generation of leaders. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver innovative undergraduate and graduate courses in respective disciplines.
- Establish and maintain a productive research agenda aligned with global industrial and sustainability challenges.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects, mentoring students for academic and professional excellence.
- Participate in university service activities, including departmental and school committees.
- Secure external funding and publish high-quality research in leading academic journals.
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and drive research initiatives that address industrial problems.
- Contribute to program development, assessment, and accreditation efforts.
- Build partnerships with local industries and actively engage in community outreach initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Open to all academic ranks (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professors).
- For Full Professors, a minimum of 10 years of distinguished teaching and research experience is required.
- Proven record of scholarly research, including publications in reputable academic journals and conference presentations.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring students and junior faculty.
- Experience in securing external funding and managing research budgets.
- Active involvement in professional organizations and committees.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in integrating cutting-edge technologies such as IoT, AI, and machine learning into industrial engineering applications, engineering economy, cost analysis, supply chain management, operation research, total quality management (TQM) and advanced manufacturing systems.
- Demonstrate the ability to foster collaboration between academia and industry, driving practical applications of research.
- Familiarity with accreditation standards, processes, and requirements.
- Leadership in sustainability, green systems, and innovative industrial practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and organizational skills with a commitment to faculty development and student success.
