Senior Business Analyst

In this capacity, you will tackle and resolve intricate system challenges, advocate for continual enhancement of business processes, and upgrade system usability. The successful applicant will demonstrate a robust background in business analysis within the Commercial Property & Casualty insurance sector and exhibit superior problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Keep track of the ticketing system, assess incidents and queries from end-users, and take action or escalate as needed
• Resolve application issues and deliver root cause analysis along with improvement suggestions
• Enhance workflows and impart expert insights on workflow designs
• Organize and conduct sessions for requirements gathering, meetings, and presentations
• Head review meetings for finalized business/functional requirements with key business stakeholders for agreement and final approval
• Forge and sustain solid relationships across business units and supporting roles
• Work in concert with development and testing teams to deliver domain expertise and aid in issue troubleshooting and resolution
• Confirm that solution propositions optimize process effectiveness and efficiency
• Engage in devising and orchestrating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts, including crafting test plans and scripts
• Direct UAT execution phase and collaborate with business lead and project manager to secure user acceptance test signoff

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of business analysis expertise in the Commercial Property & Casualty insurance field
• Proficiency in policy administration solutions
• Familiarity with integration into external systems
• Background in utilizing GuideWire, agile methodologies, SDLC & PMLC processes
• Involvement in writing business requirements, functional requirements or user stories, business process diagrams, and data rules
• Understanding of IT solutions for business process improvement automation
• Capability to effectively troubleshoot system issues
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to self-manage, operate in ambiguous settings, and ensure task completion
• Competency in using Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with SharePoint and UI mockup tools
