Job Description
Please note that this is a SHIPBOARD position based on one of our seagoing vessels. You may expect your contract to consist of 4 months onboard followed by 2 months on unpaid vacation.
The Photo Manager is responsible for managing and supervising the photo concession on board. To be an active member of the photographic team and participate in all photo shoots and processing and printing of photographs. Ensure all team members handle business correctly and professionally.
What You Get To Do
- Ensure smooth operations of the photo concession. This includes, photographing guests, processing film, printing photographs, selling photos in the photo gallery, ensuring that the schedule is adhered to, and photos are ready for sale on time.
- Maintain machinery, photo lab and the photo gallery.
- Ensure that passengers are always served first and that they receive the best service possible.
- Coordinate the working conditions of the Photo Department staff to achieve a smooth-running operation.
- Complete reconciliation of all paperwork at the end of each cruise.
- Attend all department meetings.
- Conduct monthly department meetings.
- Responsible for the safety and morale of their staff.
- Responsible for their area’s safety, cleanliness and operation.
- Mandatory attendance to all assigned shipboard drills and emergency activities.
- Create and implement ideas that will generate/increase revenue and/or reduce costs to the company.
