About The Role
The Employee Relations (ER) Associate supports the organization by addressing employee concerns, ensuring compliance with workplace policies, and fostering a positive work environment. This role involves handling employee complaints, conducting investigations, providing guidance on company policies, and assisting in conflict resolution. ?
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding workplace concerns, grievances, and conflicts. ?
- Mediate disputes between employees and supervisors, promoting fair and consistent resolutions.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on workplace policies, procedures, and best practices. ?
Investigations & Compliance
- Conduct fact-finding investigations related to employee complaints, misconduct, and policy violations. ?
- Document and analyze investigation findings, maintaining confidentiality and legal compliance. ?
- Manage and resolve employee relations escalations in a timely and effective manner via email, phone or slack
- Analyze trends in progressive discipline and turnover, offering data driven recommendations to improve workplace policies and employee relations strategies
- Review and evaluate Field Fairness Committee applications to ensure alignment with company criteria and objectives.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies, employment laws, and regulatory requirements (e.g., EEOC, ADA, FMLA). ?
Policy & Procedure Guidance
- Educate employees and managers on company policies and code of conduct.
- Assist in developing and updating employee relations policies and procedures. ?
- Support HR leadership in policy interpretation and application. ?
Performance & Disciplinary Action Support
- Advise managers on performance management strategies and corrective action plans. ?
- Assist in drafting and reviewing disciplinary documentation
- Ensure disciplinary actions are administered consistently and fairly. ?
HR Reporting & Documentation ?
- Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases, ensuring proper documentation.
- Track trends in employee concerns and recommend proactive solutions. ?
- Prepare reports on employee relations metrics for HR leadership.
The Experience You Have
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. ?
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in employee relations, HR, or a related field. ?
- Employment laws and regulations (EEO, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, etc.). ?
- HR best practices and workplace conflict resolution techniques. ?
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. ?
- ?Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. ?
- ?Problem-solving and analytical skills. ?
- ?Conflict resolution and mediation abilities. ?
Base Salary
$67,000
