Job Title: Site Safety Specialist with CAD Experience

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Safety Specialist with CAD experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of our construction sites, developing site safety plans using CAD software, and conducting regular safety inspections. This role requires a strong understanding of safety regulations, proficiency in CAD drafting, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Safety Plans: Develop and produce detailed site safety plans using CAD software, ensuring compliance with OSHA codes, NYC DOB site safety rules, and other relevant safety regulations
- Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Hazard Identification: Identify potential safety hazards and take corrective actions to mitigate risks
- Safety Training: Conduct safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and subcontractors
- Incident Investigation: Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities
- Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to promote a culture of safety
- Safety Communications: Develop and distribute safety communications, including safety bulletins and alerts
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices and ensure all site activities adhere to safety standards
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to project teams regarding site safety and compliance
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Site Safety Specialist or in a similar safety role, preferably in the construction industry
- Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) for drafting and design
- Strong knowledge of site safety plans, OSHA codes, and NYC DOB site safety rules and requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify and address safety hazards proactively
- Ability to conduct effective safety training sessions
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project teams
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Drafting, or a related field is a plus
- Professional safety certification (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, CSP) is highly desirable

- Experience with safety management software and tools
