Position Objective:
The Assistant Manager – DC Operations will support the day-to-day operations of the distribution center. This role will oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage inbound or outbound operations in the distribution center, from the scheduling of shipments until put away and dispatch.
- Ensure all inbound shipments are scheduled and processed in accordance with DC policies. while maintaining the KPIs & SLAs.
- Ensure all orders are processed and timely dispatched to stores.
- Assess current processes, identify gaps, and suggest improvements to optimize DC operations.
- Prepare Roster and allocate resources to meet the varying seasonal loads and requirements.
- Engage proactively with internal customers (brand teams) to ensure compliance with DC processes.
- Design and organize training sessions for floor supervisors and team members, ensuring everyone is aligned with DC processes.
Periodically review the performance of team members, offering feedback, guidance, and support
Desired Experiecne/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering. A certification or equivalent degree in supply chain management is preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Distribution center management in the Retail industry would be preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze data, understand patterns and make data driven decisions.
Attention to detail – A keen eye for process inefficiencies and drive to implement improvements.
