Who You Are:
The Head of Quality is responsible for overseeing and managing the overall quality standards across a company, ensuring all products and services adhere to established quality guidelines by leading quality initiatives, conducting audits, analyzing data, and implementing improvements across different departments while acting as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters within the organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and lead the implementation of food safety and quality strategies for raw material, packaging, and co-manufactured goods suppliers to ensure food safety and quality standards and regulatory requirements are met for all food products distributed and sold by the Company.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders and provide strategic leadership on specification development for externally sourced ingredients and finished
- Provide strategic leadership on effective Co-Manufacturer, Supplier, Raw materials, Packaging, and Supply Chain management.
- Develop and foster strategic partnerships within the vendor network and establish shared continuous improvement goals and metrics related to food safety and quality. Oversee, manage, and report on incident management/corrective action requests and audit processes with suppliers.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to review and manage food safety and quality risks in the supply chain.
- Define approval program and ongoing management program requirements, including onboarding and ongoing management programs and procedures.
- Manage and further develop the company’s food safety and traceability
- Build and maintain a finished good quality program, driving further product
- Manage corrective action processes with third parties.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree preferred.
- PCQI & FSVP
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the food industry, including quality assurance, food production, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and in
- Strong analytic and problem-solving
- Advanced knowledge of food science and subject matter expertise on food safety & quality
- Understanding of domestic and international food (EFSA/HACCP)
- Must have excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work closely with cross- functional teams
- Ability to travel to vendor sites, both domestic and international, as needed.
What We Offer:
Salary: $125k depending on experience.
