Job Description

Position Title: Scientific Officer

Grade: Officer Grade II

Function: R&D

Internal Stakeholders: Marketing and SRA

External Stakeholders: Research Institutes and external labs

Educational Qualification: M.Sc Food Science and Nutrition, M.Sc Clinical Nutrition

Experience: 3-5 years of experience

To be able to search and decipher research papers from scientific journals

Key Responsibilities

  • Claims support: To support in the innovation and rennovation projects in providing relevant scientific literature for claims substantiation.
  • Making claims substantiation dossier for the innovation and rennovation projects and updating the same on a regular basis.
  • Competetive intellengence : To screen the competition products in domestic and international for the innovative/new claims
  • Evaluation of the products for their nutritional composition, ingredients , claim correctness and submit a monthly report
  • Claims and Regulatory : To co-ordinate with SRA and be updated with the changing regulations in India and international market .The same to be consideration while developing new claims /existing claims
  • Nutritional actives : To be updated on the new nutritional actives and build a scientific literature support and regulatory understanding of the feasibility of usage of the products and possible claims.
  • Liasoning with research institutes : To make a database of research institutes for collaborative research work and co-ordinate with them for meetings.
  • Nutrition intervention studies/Clinical trials : To co-ordinate and follow up with the partners in a timely manner as per the trial protocol and report the same.
