Children’s Dental Center and Parkway Orthodontics are seeking a full-time Assistant Practice Manager to be part of our amazing team! Our goal at Children’s Dental Center and Parkway Orthodontics is to provide a fun environment where patients can have a positive dental experience while providing them top-quality dental care. About The Position

Children’s Dental Center and Parkway Orthodontics are a jointly operated multi-specialty dental clinic located in south-central Sioux Falls, SD. This newly created position will perform a variety of routine and complex functions to assist the Practice Manager in the daily operation of the practice. Ideal candidates will have experience or training in dental/healthcare/business management, have a people-first mentality, and display an eagerness to learn, grow, and solve problems.

Position Hours

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
  • Friday: 7:30am – 12:00pm

Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Adjust employee timecards in HR software system.
  • Monitor employee attendance and track points in accordance with the office attendance policy.
  • Make necessary adjustments to employee status in HR software system.
  • Assist in the hiring process of posting open positions, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new staff.
  • Actively monitor open positions and promptly communicate with applicants.
  • Participate in the Social Committee to help plan employee functions in and out of the office.

Marketing

  • Lead local marketing efforts for both practices.
  • Collaborate with creative teams on promotional materials and advertisements.
  • Create posts for various social media platforms.
  • Organize and deliver referral gifts to outside offices
  • Actively monitor patient reviews and respond when appropriate.

IT

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT problems in the office and help staff troubleshoot basic daily IT issues.
  • Create and monitor tickets in the IT system for tasks that require additional IT support.
  • Assist in implementation of larger-scale IT projects as needed.

Other

  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of facilities, communicate and schedule repairs with third-party vendors when needed. Serve as the main point of contact for facility issues in the absence of the Practice Manager.
  • Complete special projects, create policies, prepare reports, and assist with other tasks as directed by the Practice Manager. Additional functions may include but are not limited to procurement, finance, billing, and other needs of the practice.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings, doctor/management meetings, and other meetings as required, leading meetings when necessary.
  • Ensure proper communication channels exist between management, doctors, staff, and outside entities.
  • Address patient/parent concerns in a calm and respectable manner.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
  • Must arrive on time and adhere to the attendance policy.

Experience And Education

  • Two or more years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in a dental or healthcare office setting preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, human resources, marketing, or related preferred.
  • Any such combination of experience and education acceptable to the hiring manager.

  • Strong knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Salary: $23.00 – $29.00 per hour depending on experience
