Your Opportunity

We have an exciting temporary full-time opportunity available for a Manager, Student Support and Wellbeing to join our Student Support team at TAFE Queensland’s Ipswich or Toowoomba Campus. This opportunity is available until 31 December 2025, with the possibility of extension.

As the Manager, Student Support and Wellbeing, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation and delivery of student support and equity services across TAFE Queensland’s South West region.

The role is also required to adopt and promote high-quality, trauma-informed approaches to student wellbeing, disability support and equity services to support student retention and successful educational outcomes.

This position reports to the Director, Corporate Solutions and leads a team of student support roles.

Salary

The salary range for this position at the AO7 classification is $131,080 – $140,381 (gross) per annum.

Highly Desirable

Candidates Who Possess The Following Will Be Highly Regarded

  • Tertiary qualification in Education, Psychology, Social Work or a related field (preferably a post-graduate qualification).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a practitioner in field, including developing support plans and counselling clients.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ team leadership experience in government or non-government organisations in a related field.
  • Experience working with First Nations students, refugee and migrant clients, and clients with disability.
