Overview
Civitas Health Services, Inc. is a comprehensive behavioral healthcare organization serving children, adolescents, and adults. Our services currently comprise Traditional Outpatient, Functional Family Therapy, Mental Health Intensive Outpatient, Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient, and ABA. Licensed by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and fully accredited by the Joint Commission, we are seeking a detail-oriented Healthcare Administrator. This role oversees the administrative aspects of our Mental Health and Substance Use Services, focusing on fiscal management, quality assurance, risk management, and compliance. Responsibilities include managing budgets, employee training, consumer feedback, and policy implementation, while collaborating with upper management and clinical staff
Salary Range: $51,000 – $70,000 commensurate with experience

Essential Job Duties Include
- Interpreting, supporting, and executing federal, state, organization, and department policies and procedures.
- Monitors the quality of our Intensive Outpatient/Outpatient services through research, data collection, review, and analysis.
- Determining program goals and objectives that need additional emphasis, utilizing measures that evaluate performance, making recommendations for program improvement, and managing all resources as corporate assets
- Overseeing, preparing, and managing program budgets, forecasts, expenses, and targets
- Ensuring appropriate hiring of staff and resources
- Assigning duties and responsibilities to direct care staff
- Clearly defining performance expectations, including productivity standards, quantity and quality indicators, and applicable observable behavioral indicators.
- Providing ongoing, timely feedback to employees throughout the work cycle to reinforce good performance and to correct performance that needs improvement.
- Providing formal regularly scheduled overall job performance reviews.
- Ensuring that assigned programs and processes are covered by internal controls and that appropriate precautions are taken to prevent waste and misuse of resources.
- Assists in creating a positive and supportive work environment; enforce a safe workplace; establishes a culture of teamwork and communication; creates a workplace that promotes the organizational values of workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion; and actively promotes an environment respectful of living and working in a multicultural society
- Interprets and explains applicable laws and policies for staff and consumers
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a leadership position in a behavioral health setting.
- Familiarity with and ability to interpret and apply healthcare laws, regulations, accreditation standards, state licensure or certification, and best practices in healthcare compliance program implementation
- Knowledge of the principals of The Joint Commission and must be well versed in CMS guidelines on EPSDT Behavioral Therapy
- Ability to adapt to change and work under stressful situations.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Regulatory Compliance Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services

Education And Experience
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Social Service, Human Services, Healthcare Administration, Public Health Administration, or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in mental health services
