As a marketing executive with BDO, one of Ireland and the world’s leading professional services firms you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing creative and impactful marketing campaigns across multiple channels. You will be the voice of BDO, supporting our brand identity and shaping our tone of voice for the future.

We’re looking for people with a progressive, forward-thinking view of the marketing function to bring into the firm. Our ideal candidate will have a customer-first mindset, whilst knowing how to craft a compelling message for brand and commercial storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns that align with BDO’s overall marketing strategy, with a focus on creating persuasive and memorable copy.
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing team to identify target audiences, develop value propositions and key messages for campaigns.
  • Craft clear and concise copy for various marketing materials including but not limited to website content, CMS/blogs, white papers, industry research reports, social media posts, email campaigns, brochures, advertisements – offline and digital, presentations, pitches, sales collateral and video scripts.
  • Conduct periodic research to better understand our clients, industries and competitors to create content that resonates with our audience and differentiates BDO in the market.
  • Review, proofread and copy edit marketing materials for accuracy, grammar and consistency, maintaining high-quality standards in all communications.
  • Ensure all written messaging aligns with brand guidelines and BDO’s tone of voice.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices and changes in regulations and incorporate them into BDO’s marketing content to ensure relevancy and compliance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various stakeholders, including internal teams and external agencies to create content, curate insights and gain feedback in order to continually improve the effectiveness of our marketing communications and campaigns.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt your writing style for different audiences, objectives and channels.
  • Ability to write in a professional and approachable manner.
  • Ability to work independently, autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and a strong ability to copy-edit others work.
  • Digitally savvy and have a foundational knowledge of digital marketing best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office suite, as well as content management systems and email marketing platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or equivalent in experience.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a marketing orientated role including experience in producing written content for marketing communications and campaign messages.
  • Experience creating engaging and fun content for internal and external communications.
  • Desirable – Familiarity with inbound approaches to marketing – for example have completed Hubspot’s Inbound Academy.
  • Desirable – experience using research to gather and analyse information on various topics and multiple industries
