Pre-Laundry Preparation

Key Responsibilities include:

• Sort soiled linen, count inventory, and pre-treat stains to prepare for laundering.
• Ensure all items are properly identified and accounted for before loading into washers.

Laundry Operations

• Operate washers and dryers to clean and dry linen according to established standards and procedures.
• Monitor equipment during the laundering process and address any malfunctions or issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area to optimize efficiency and workflow.

Equipment Maintenance

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on laundry equipment as trained to ensure proper functionality and longevity.

Linens Handling

• Fold, store, and distribute clean towels and linens in designated storage areas.
• Ensure all linens are properly folded and stored to maintain quality and presentation standards.

Safety And Compliance

• Practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment, such as gloves and goggles, as required.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries in the workplace.

Assistance With Housekeeping Tasks

• Assist with other housekeeping tasks, such as room cleaning or public area maintenance, in the event of staffing shortages or high demand periods.

Work Area Maintenance

• Keep the laundry area clean and organized, including sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.

What You Will Bring

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Must be permitted to work in the USA with supporting documentation.
• Must be able to constantly push/pull laundry carts (empty and full) with potential weight between 50-400lbs (may vary by property).
• Must be able to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer with potential weight between 25-150lbs (may vary by property).
