We have a career opportunity for a Director of Thermal Operations to join our team!

The successful candidate will oversee and direct the administrative, operational, maintenance and growth activities of the Thermal Division’s Steam and Chilled Water business units while ensuring a safe, productive and collaborative work environment for all employees. Provide a business atmosphere that

promotes customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, meaningful work, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with all areas of the Trust and outside agencies to develop and implement strategies to sustain and grow the Thermal business units and to support the Trust.

Minimum Salary $144,600 (Grade 15)

  • Provide direction and leadership to promote a business that is a value to the Trust, to its customers and to each community.
  • Communicate and develop relationships with individual customers, outside entities and government agencies.
  • Direct, counsel and collaborate immediate and near term operating activity including cost control, budgets, financial reports, operating levels, environmental policy, fuel procurement, customer service and performance metrics.
  • Provide direction, support and actively participate in the Utility marketing, planning and business process improvements.
  • Ensure Internal Control requirements are met.
  • Communicate with the Union leadership to maintain harmonious relations.
  • B.S in a technical field and /or management with business experience in the utility industry.
  • At least 10 years operating and general management experience, with a concentration in the utility industry

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • Experience and skill using Oracle.
  • Experience managing bargaining unit employees.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of power plant operations including water chemistry, combustion, and controls.
  • Knowledge of chilled water plant operations including water chemistry and controls.
