We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to fill the role of Manufacturing Supervisor. This full-time, 1st Shift. Position is based in Rockledge, FL, and offers an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to a culture built on quality, integrity, and teamwork.

The Manufacturing Supervisor will lead their business unit in developing and executing manufacturing processes to achieve shared objectives across the facility. This role will measure safety, quality, delivery and cost performance while leveraging data to drive continuous improvement efforts for their respective business unit. In addition, the Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for driving results through efficiency gains, balancing capacity to demand, managing labor, and developing and leading a diverse team.

  • Execute strategies for safety quality, delivery and cost initiatives for respective business unit
  • Actively communicating ECG CARE mission and values
  • Drive customer satisfaction through strict adherence to product specifications ensuring quality specifications are met driving to 100% first pass yields
  • Demonstrate commitment to all safety programs, site specific safety plans and targeted ECG initiatives
  • Manage business unit operating budget; to ensure meet or exceed our financial objectives
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Interpret and enforce company policies, rules, and safety regulations and quality methods to supervisors and employees
  • Plans and aligns; plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to drive 100% OTC and less than 1.5% on warranty, zero accidents, and exceed HPU budgeted requirements
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS in Manufacturing, Business or a related required; advanced degree or professional manufacturing certification(s) preferred
  • 5+ years leadership experience with a large manufacturing organization
  • Proven track record of building a team, supervising change, streamlining processes and driving safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements
  • Strong working knowledge and application of lean manufacturing principles; furniture industry experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, delegation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Working Relationship

Communication is required across all levels of the organization- executive team, other functional leaders, subordinates and production floor workers. The Manufacturing Supervisor works under the immediate supervision of the General Manager.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift/move in excess of 50 lbs. at a time
  • Stand, walk, stoop, and perform motions for an extended period

PPE

Safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety shoes are required. Other PPE may be required depending on the role.

Safety

This position expects to adhere to all safety rules to include the use of all require protective personal equipment (PPE). Specifically, eye and hearing protection must be worn at all times while in the production floor.
