VACANCY FOR A DRIVER

Nature Of The Tasks

Under the overall responsibility of the Head of Delegation and the direct responsibility of the Head of Administration, the Driver will be responsible for the execution of the following tasks:

• Safely drive the assigned vehicle (manual and automatic) in accordance with the traffic laws and as directed by the Administrative Section.
• Perform daily inspections on all assigned vehicles at the beginning of each workday.
• Maintain vehicles in a clean, an operable and a safe state.
• Arrange in collaboration with the Administrative Section, regular servicing and repairs of vehicles.
• Assist occasionally at the Delegation’s switchboard, archival and minor porterage duties.
• Assist in the fueling and with minor operations of the Delegation’s generators.
• Other duties as requested by the Head of Delegation and or Head of Administration.

Profile

• Medically fit to perform the required duties
• Full secondary education along with valid driver’s license
• At least 5 years’ experience driving in a professional capacity
• Enjoys civil rights and/or permits for employment under local law
• Perfect knowledge of English
• Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package and similar applications
• Experience working in a diplomatic missions and/or similar international organisations will be an asset
• Defensive driving and auto mechanic certification will be an asset
• Must be able to drive a manual vehicle
