FABRICATORS

A leading drilling services company specializing in high-quality solutions for mining operations is seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in welding and fabrication, working with mechanical parts, and ensuring all tasks comply with safety, quality, and operational standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble mechanical parts according to specifications using a variety of tools and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental protection regulations and procedures.
• Maintain and operate hand tools, welding, and fabrication equipment effectively.
• Conduct manual handling and preparation of components for painting.
• Perform steel fabrication tasks at various levels (introduction, intermediate, and advanced).
• Execute welding and brazing at different skill levels while adhering to safety protocols.
• Measure and inspect components to ensure precision and quality.
• Assist in maintenance planning and utilization of maintenance software for documentation.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness, organization, and equipment care.
• Complete job cards and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations.

Requirements

• HND/NVTI Apprenticeship (Grade 1 & 2), Advanced Certificate in Welding and Fabrication.
• Minimum of 9 years in welding and fabrication within a drilling or mining-related environment.
• Minerals Commission certification is required.
• AValid driver’s license.
• Must meet the required medical and physical fitness standards.
• Proficiency in welding, brazing, steel fabrication, and machining.
• Experience with maintenance software such as MEX.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve fabrication challenges effectively.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and work efficiently in a team environment.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
