Mobile Tank Car Cleaning is a renowned leader in the industrial tank car cleaning solutions industry, catering to a diverse clientele in various sectors. Our commitment to excellence is matched only by our dedication to safety and efficiency. We are currently seeking a skilled Tank Labourer to join our team in Edmonton, AB.

As a General Labourer, your responsibilities will include adhering to our cleaning procedures, operating and maintaining a range of industrial cleaning equipment, such as pumps, diesel engines, thermal fluid heaters, knuckle boom cranes (under 8 tons), and heavy machinery. Mentorship of new employees is vital to this position along with ensuring all safety precautions are followed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate with team members, and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the team to address and resolve operational challenges and technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clean and as free certifications, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Uphold and promote a culture of safety, ensuring that safety protocols and guidelines are rigorously adhered to by all team members.
  • Operate and maintain various industrial cleaning equipment, including pumps, diesel engines, and thermal fluid heaters.
  • Filling a holding tank with water
  • Monitoring the pumping system
  • Moving cleaning device from 1 railcar to another (less than 50lbs)
  • Entering confined space to spot clean railcar
  • Complete basic equipment and tool maintenance, including basic repairs.
  • Ensure secure load handling for the safe transportation of equipment.
  • Adhere to stringent safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Operate equipment efficiently to meet project requirements.

Key Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of pumps, diesel engines, thermal fluid heaters, knuckle boom cranes, and heavy equipment.
  • Proficiency in secure load handling for transportation.
  • Hold a Class 1 driver’s license (an asset)
  • Compliance with Electronic Logbooks.
  • A strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy equipment.
  • Willingness to work in various environments and weather conditions.
  • Previous experience in industrial cleaning equipment operation is advantageous.

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8-10 hours per day

Hourly Pay Rate: $28.58
