About The Role
Join a dynamic UK-based company as an IT Support Specialist, providing technical assistance and ensuring seamless IT operations. This fully remote role is perfect for a skilled professional based in South Africa, offering the opportunity to work Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM UK time. As an independent contractor, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems, ensuring business continuity, and supporting end-users with their technical needs.

What You’ll Do
- Provide first-line and second-line IT support to end-users, resolving technical issues efficiently.
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including software, hardware, and network systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related problems.
- Ensure IT security compliance by implementing updates, patches, and security measures.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees, setting up necessary IT equipment and accounts.
- Document technical procedures and solutions for future reference.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimise IT processes and enhance system efficiency.
- Provide remote support using IT helpdesk tools and ticketing systems.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of IT support experience in a professional setting.
- Strong understanding of Windows and Mac OS, networking principles, and cloud-based applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, VPNs, and remote desktop solutions.
- Experience with IT security best practices and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.
- Must have access to a reliable laptop and high-speed internet.
