- Management of financial planning and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, internal control, financial reporting to management and the board of directors, as well as ensuring compliance with government regulations
- Leading, developing and supporting the Finance and Accounting teams, maintaining a focus on growth and the capability needed to deliver on business objectives
- Assessing present cost optimisation options and opportunities
- Review and appraise the results of activities, ensuring appropriate action is taken to resolve unsatisfactory conditions
- Conducting fixed assets and lease ledger maintenance
- Cost centre reporting and business division liaison
- Liaising with the Senior Leadership team, particularly during preparation of forecasts and budgets to meet overall business objectives
- Communication with management on progress against annual sales, profit and budgets and changes to strategy or planned activities
- Providing monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Providing statutory financial statements and overseeing external audits, ensuring all audit requirements are met efficiently
- Oversee and manage the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely closure of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial periods
- Oversee the cash flow of the business
- Providing bi-annual power point presentation packs for Head Quarter reporting and presenting on financial results and insights
- Management of all company tax returns including monthly B.A.S. and GST, income tax return, fringe benefits tax return, land tax etc
- Ensuring strict compliance with Australian accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal company policies to uphold financial integrity
- Conducting Risk Management analysis to ensure the company has a solid risk framework in operation

That’s enough about us! Here’s what we hope to see from you:
- 10+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, or related field
- CA or CPA qualifications
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
- High level of proficiency in using Microsoft Excel & Power point, including complex formula, graphing and data analysis tools – We’re looking for a presentation and visualisation master!
- Prior experience in using SAP
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with a hands-on approach
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute effectively
- High level of proficiency in using Microsoft Excel & Power point, including complex formula, graphing and data analysis tools.
