Description Of Work

The Data Analyst will contribute to the mission and goals of the college and specifically the Dean’s office by developing reports, systems, and action plans for financial, human resources, and student data. Provide overall management of data collection for program rankings and data required for multiple accrediting agencies. Collaborate with other UNL organizations to automate the procedures for collecting and analyzing data from their servers. Provide technical and analytical data analysis and serve as an advisor to the College of Education & Human Sciences Administrators.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, computer science, computer programming, or related quantitative field plus three (3) years of experience with: Building dashboards/visualizations in Tableau Desktop or similar programs, utilizing advanced knowledge of calculated fields and data source filters; demonstrated experience utilizing advanced knowledge of MS Access, Excel and VBA /Macros; and demonstrated experience in SQL and complex query-writing.

Requires advanced understanding of report writing and expert computer skills. The ability to transform data into easily understandable reports for decision makers is vital. Verbal communication skills and project management expertise are a must. Requires the ability to work independently and accurately; to investigate and analyze information; to form plans of action based on broad goals; and to persist and finish projects on schedule. Must be independent, self-directed, with a strong attention to detail. Aptitude in critical thinking and problem solving. Advanced computer/computing skills are required. Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidate will also have experience with in a programming language such as R, Python or MATLAB and knowledge of business/financial principles.

Posted Salary $66,000/yr. minimum
