About the role:

Working within the PMO the Project Support Officer is responsible for supporting all aspects of project management across multiple work streams helping ensure delivery to time, quality and cost objectives.

The Project Support Officer will be responsible for administrative elements across the PMO including, but not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support in the day-to-day planning and delivery of projects, related activities, and tasks.
  • Manage the project database and resource tracker with input from Project and Management Teams
  • Support Project manager in the development of Project plans
  • Ensure that Programme team members are kept informed of progress, and stay aligned to the project goals
  • Engage with stakeholders at various levels to gather requirements, provide updates and address concerns.
  • Support the PMO in tracking and reporting project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate and schedule project meetings, including preparing agendas and minutes.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and presentations.
  • Organise, attend, and update documentation for required meetings.
  • Format and proofread all PMO documentation
  • Ensure proper document control by filing emails and attachments in relevant project folders
  • Coordinate Communications Plan
  • Act as a point of contact for the PMO, responding to queries and providing information as required.
  • On an ad-hoc basis provide support to the Continuous Improvement wider team

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2 years eperience in a similar role
  • Sound qualifications in English and Maths are essential. Degree and/or professional qualifications applicable to the role or relevant experience in previous similar roles preferred.
