Job Description for L3 Position:
- Ensure availability to support Customer Site for 24*7*365 as team.
- Ability to Identify IP Address schema, Subnets, Subnet Mask and perform basic IP Address management. Knowledge on various network elements, ports devices, Links and Technologies.
- Should be able to understand Theoretical concepts in Network fundamentals like SNMP, TCP/IP, etc. Clear understanding of the Ticketing Tools
- Network Routing (L2/L3) Able to configure and troubleshoot various LAN routing protocols and Inter VLAN Routing technologies Able to configure and troubleshoot routing protocols like RIP1, RIP2, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
- Contribute to L3 team in RCA and data inputs for co P1 incidents. Clear understanding of Metro Ethernet standards, Technology concepts, various elements used in the network and first level diagnostics. Able to configure and troubleshoot OSPF Network topology based on design input.
- Should be able to perform IP Address management using Subneting / Supernetting, CIDR, VLSM. Create config templates and configure ports in L2 and L3 Switch elements. Able to perform LAN and WLAN network incident Diagnosis, Troubleshooting till resolution.Â
- Good Knowledge on Cisco debug and Show commands on VLAN, STP, VTP, Trunking, ISL, 802.1q, etc.
- Good Knowledge on IPsec & GRE Tunnel configuration and troubleshooting.
- Good Knowledge on Wireless LAN Controller, Access point’s configuration and IEEE802.11 suite Able to do Load balancing configuration using HSRP, VRRP, GLBP techniques.Â
- Clear understanding and configuration of L2 / L3 switching Good understanding of Cisco 2900-to-6500 series switches, Inter VLAN routing and Access List configurations, TACACS configuration, IOS Up gradation etc.
- Perform basic port configuration in Switched L2 and L3 Network Basic understanding of debug and Show commands in VLAN, STP, VTP, PVST, Ether channel Theoretical understanding of Bridge, Hub, Switch, Structured Cabling, Access point etc.Â
- Experience in one (or more) scripting languages: Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell
- Clear understanding of Ticketing Tools, able to create new tickets, modify/update tickets, Assign tickets to various queues.Â
- Clear understanding of Monitoring and Management tools.
- 8+ years of experience
- Preferable team leading role
- Industry standard certifications
- ITIL certified
