Machine Setter (All Shifts)
Albert Bartlett is a family-owned business with a rich heritage and over 75 years of experience in producing high-quality food produce. We are the leading supplier of Fresh, Chilled, and Frozen potato products in the UK and are known for our high-quality produce and innovative products. We are looking for hardworking Machine Setters to join our dynamic Chilled Production team, based in Airdrie.
Opportunities are currently available on dayshift, backshift, and nightshift.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate our robotic production lines in accordance with production requirements.
- Perform low-level routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal machine performance. Escalate to our engineering team where appropriate.
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a food production or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

About The Role
Working Time:
Core hours on offer as follows (may vary slightly depending on business area)
- Dayshift: 07:00 – 15:30 / Monday – Friday
- Backshift: 16:00 – 00:30 / Monday – Friday
- Nightshift: 23:00 – 07:30 / Monday – Friday
Compensation
- Starting salary of £11.90, rising to £12.96 once fully trained (approx. 12 weeks)
- Shift allowances for Backshift (50p/hr) and Nightshift (£1/hr) work.
- Overtime paid at 1.25 x hourly rate.
