Food Production Assistant

Honest to Goodness is a family-owned rapidly growing organic and natural food supplier based in Alexandria & Villawood.

We are seeking Production Assistants to join our dedicated team.

Position: Production Assistants – full-time, 38 hours a week

Location: Villawood

Role starts: January 2025

This Role Will Require You To

The Production Assistant plays a pivotal role in daily production operations. with a primary focus on operating and managing packaging machinery. This entails setting up and running designated packaging machines and statistical weighers to ensure the efficient packaging of high-quality products on a daily basis.

• Set up, operate, and monitor machines during production.
• Organise materials for processing and packaging.
• Carry out clean downs of the process/production area and machines according to procedures.
• Identify and report faults. Carry out equipment preventative maintenance.
• Batch mix ingredients.
• Work various production lines across our facility (as required).
• Comply with HACCP & GMP practices.
• Ensure product quality, complete quality checks accurately and consistently.
• Be a part of the general periodical plant and equipment cleaning.

To Be Successful For This Role You Must

• Have a great attitude, excellent work ethic, genuine desire to operate to a high standard.
• Be physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg, stand for the entire length of shift and be okay with stairs.
• Have experience operating powder auger fillers, ribbon blenders and linear weigh head machines, is desirable.
• Be okay with working in dusty/powder environments.
• Available to work any shift assigned (Monday-Friday). Shift hours are 6:30am – 3:30pm.
• Have a good level of English (read/understand/write).
• Be willing to work in a team.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, organized.
• Ideally, have a food production experience.
