Job Overview
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends.
- Analyze competitors and industry developments to inform business strategies.
- Evaluate potential markets and assess the viability of new ventures.
Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement business development strategies and plans to achieve growth targets.
- Identify target markets and develop approaches to penetrate these markets.
- Align business development activities with overall company objectives and goals.
Lead Generation And Sales
- Identify and qualify potential clients through networking, research, and outreach.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients.
- Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals to secure new business.
Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships to enhance business opportunities.
- Address client needs and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Collaboration And Coordination
- Work closely with other departments, including marketing, sales, and operations, to support
business development initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to clients.
- Provide feedback to product development teams based on market and client insights.
Reporting And Analysis
- Track and report on business development activities, including lead generation, sales, and
revenue growth.
- Analyze business performance data to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management.
Marketing And Promotion
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote the company’s
services.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate leads.
- Create and deliver promotional materials and presentations to potential clients.
Budget Management
- Develop and manage the business development budget.
- Ensure efficient allocation of resources to achieve business development goals.
- Monitor expenses and optimize the use of resources for maximum ROI.
What Our Client Is Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; MBA
preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in the supply
chain or logistics industry.
- Proven track record of achieving business development and sales targets.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and business development principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in CRM software and other business development tools.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and support business development activities.
