Job Summary:
The Logistics Director oversees customer fulfillment, logistics operations, and regulatory compliance for the assigned region. This role manages inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring efficiency in distribution centers, warehouses, and sales offices while maintaining safety and inventory accuracy. Aligns logistics strategies with business objectives, driving innovation, cost management, and workforce development. Additionally, this role fosters a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and customer-centric operations to support long-term growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure brand and consumer trust by implementing food safety, quality, and environmental standards in compliance with industry regulations (DOLE, DENR, DTI, FDA, and Local Government Units), covering both warehouse operations and logistics movements.
- Maintain accountability for safety within all logistics operations in the assigned region, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards while driving programs that promote a culture of quality, safety, and environmental responsibility.
- Align resources (manpower, trucks, raw materials, finished goods, empties) with manufacturing, commercial, and supply chain planning units to support sales targets, operational goals, production schedules, and distribution plans in both short- and long-term horizons.
- Oversee product and asset inventory management by implementing controls, compliance reviews, cycle/monthly counts, audits, and remediation activities to prevent financial loss.
- Ensure raw material and finished goods inventories are maintained per industry standards, securely controlled, and accurately accounted for within the facility.
- Monitor and meet key performance metrics related to safety, service levels, resource efficiency, cost management, and regulatory compliance. Implement routine management reviews, action planning, and execution strategies to support overarching business objectives.
- Define, plan, and execute logistics strategies that promote long-term operational success, maintaining or enhancing brand equity, safety, customer experience, cost efficiency, compliance, and workforce engagement while aligning with growth objectives.
- Collaborate with commercial units to support market changes, traffic conditions, and evolving distribution models, including defining new distribution networks, delivery routes, or alternative logistics strategies.
- Lead in preparing, monitoring, and managing short- to medium-term plans for logistics operations, including operating budgets and capital expenditures, ensuring alignment with broader business plans and facility maintenance needs.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and customer service excellence within the logistics organization.
- Promote industrial harmony by maintaining positive labor relations, engaging with labor unions, and cultivating an engaged and motivated workforce.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field.
- At least 10 years of experience managing large-scale logistics operations across a geographic region.
- At least 10 years of experience managing large supply chain operations.
- Extensive experience in transport operations, warehouse management, and fleet operations.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
