20th Century Studios is an Academy Award®-winning producer of feature films for both theatrical and streaming release. It is home to such iconic franchises as “Avatar,” “Alien,” “Planet of the Apes,” “Predator,” “Die Hard,” and “Kingsman” and creator of hit films including “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “The Greatest Showman,” “The Martian,” “Ford v Ferrari,” and “Free Guy.” It also launched the successful “Deadpool” and “X-Men” film series, Oscar®-winner “West Side Story,” and the recently Oscar®-nominated “Avatar: The Way of Water.”

This role will support two Executives, (1) the Head of Physical Production, Post-Production & VFX and (2) the VP, Post-Production for 20th Century Studios.

General Responsibilities:

  • Answer and screen phones, schedule appointments, and manage contacts
  • Manage executive travel and expense reports
  • Create and schedule conference calls with production and studio personnel through various stages of production

Support for Head of Physical Production, Post-Production & VFX

  • Coordinate all features directly associated with the Executive’s, from pre-production through the wrap of physical production in concert with other team members
  • Manage incoming materials which include maintaining lists & contracts, databases, researching information, compiling, archiving and securing files

Support for VP, Post-Production

  • Collaborate with various departments to create dailies workflow documents
  • Develop potential editors’ lists for shows in pre-production
  • Act as the day-to-day liaison/first point of contact for Editorial and Post on assigned shows
  • Set up Editorial teams with application accounts and monitor access for the duration of the show
  • Locate, engage and set up Editorial offices for each show
  • Solicit and negotiate avid rental bids
  • Work with production crew to arrange shipments for editorial in distant locations
  • Assist VP in creating post editorial plans and post calendars
  • Create and manage purchase orders
  • Schedule, organize, set up executive and preview screenings (booking security, projection engineering, entering into our global screening system, etc.)
  • Facilitate delivery of features including QC and approving masters
  • Work with the studio distribution team to make sure their needs are met to ensure a timely release

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in film production or equivalent
  • Mature judgment and discretion in keeping sensitive information confidential
  • Solid familiarity with film production
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Computer skills – budgeting and scheduling (MMB and MMS); Mac knowledgeable; familiarity with Final Draft
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work well under pressure, maintain professionalism, demonstrate service orientation while keeping managers informed of completed tasks and status of current tasks at hand
  • Must be available to work onsite 4 day per week (Monday-Thursday). Fridays are remote with flexibility to work onsite as needed. Overtime on evenings and weekends as needed

Preferred Requirements:

  • SAP knowledge a plus

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $52,300 to $67,600 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
