We are looking for an experienced Senior Internal Communications Manager to join our team to help lead the development and delivery of the RSPB’s internal communications, ensuring our employees and volunteers are informed, engaged, inspired and motivated to deliver their best.
Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Communications and Engagement, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our sense of community, embedding our values and strategy and facilitating transparent communication across all levels of the organisation.
You will have experience of supporting a major organisational change programme, along with experience of delivering internal communication initiatives within a large and complex organisation.
You will be comfortable working with and advising senior stakeholders and have experience of using multiple channels and creative approaches to communication challenges.
You will have experience and be confident in managing multiple line reports.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Head of Internal Communications to drive forward RSPB’s key strategic internal communications and engagement, ensuring it reflects and supports organisational priorities and strategic objectives
- Providing strategic internal communications expertise and guidance to major RSPB programmes and projects
- Providing advice and support to senior staff in relation to internal communications activities, to ensure the workforce is informed about forthcoming organisational announcements and initiatives.
- Developing and reviewing the effectiveness internal communications on an ongoing basis and making recommendations for continuous improvement, in line with organisational priorities.
This is a Permanent, Full Time role for 37.5 hours per week.
