Job Summary:
The Regional Director for Latin America & Caribbean will be responsible for promoting and increasing the uptake of the ICC family of solutions, in both English and Spanish, within the designated region. This role requires a dynamic, motivated leader who can develop business opportunities, operate effectively in a multi-cultural and bilingual business environment, build and foster relationships with multiple groups of stakeholders, and drive results in a demanding environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the building safety sector, including familiarity with the International Codes, coupled with a proven track record in business planning and execution, and delivering results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional business strategies and plans to achieve defined KPIs.
- Develop key relationships to identify customer and stakeholder needs within the region, create proposals, and arrange and coordinate a delivery of the product or services to meet customer needs
- Monitor performance and report on metrics.
- Set business goals and objectives on a country and regional basis.
- Optimize and oversee operations in the region to ensure efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and operational guidelines.
- Manage escalated customer issues, incidents, or complaints.
- Monitor regional expenses and recommend improvements.
- Foster a culture of exceptional customer service and engagement.
- Collaborate with corporate leadership to align regional goals with company objectives.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a relevant field.
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably as a manager or similar.
- Experience working in a bilingual or cross-cultural environment.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Spanish.
- Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region.
- Proficiency in using business management software and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve goals.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within the building safety regulatory environment, especially where the International Codes are used.
- Familiarity with multilateral development bank programs and processes.
- Experience working in the Latin America & Caribbean region.
