Job Summary:

The Regional Director for Latin America & Caribbean will be responsible for promoting and increasing the uptake of the ICC family of solutions, in both English and Spanish, within the designated region. This role requires a dynamic, motivated leader who can develop business opportunities, operate effectively in a multi-cultural and bilingual business environment, build and foster relationships with multiple groups of stakeholders, and drive results in a demanding environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the building safety sector, including familiarity with the International Codes, coupled with a proven track record in business planning and execution, and delivering results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional business strategies and plans to achieve defined KPIs.
  • Develop key relationships to identify customer and stakeholder needs within the region, create proposals, and arrange and coordinate a delivery of the product or services to meet customer needs
  • Monitor performance and report on metrics.
  • Set business goals and objectives on a country and regional basis.
  • Optimize and oversee operations in the region to ensure efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and operational guidelines.
  • Manage escalated customer issues, incidents, or complaints.
  • Monitor regional expenses and recommend improvements.
  • Foster a culture of exceptional customer service and engagement.
  • Collaborate with corporate leadership to align regional goals with company objectives.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably as a manager or similar.
  • Experience working in a bilingual or cross-cultural environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region.
  • Proficiency in using business management software and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within the building safety regulatory environment, especially where the International Codes are used.
  • Familiarity with multilateral development bank programs and processes.
  • Experience working in the Latin America & Caribbean region.
