Role And Responsibilities
The Business Engineering Solutions (BES) team is a team of highly technical engineers, application developers and technical project managers focused on helping drive hardware/software solution-based opportunities. We do this by removing technical roadblocks, product education, issue reporting/escalation, and advocating for product enhancements to meet the needs of our customers.
We are seeking an intern to help standardize a data repository that will allow us the ability to leverage AI in the future. This data repository and standardization effort will be critical to setting this team up for the future of AI. With AI being a strategic focus of Samsung, this position will play a key role in helping our team become AI ready in areas of technical troubleshooting, solutioning, training and knowledge learning.
Skills And Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications:
- Academic Major Preferred (Undergrad and Masters) Computer Science, Data Science, Other Technical related fields
- Data Mining – ability to uncover patterns, anomalies and correlations in large data sets.
- Structured query language (SQL) – to manipulate data.
- Knowledge of Data Modeling tools – ERWin, Visio, etc..
- Working knowledge of existing AI platforms and learning types
- (Optional) Coding Languages – Python, Java
- Be able to translate business requirements into databases, data warehouse and data streams.
- Take existing data sets and establish a central repository and common naming conventions.
- Analze, plan and define data architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata and master data.
- Create and implement data management processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with other teams to devise and implement data strategies, build models, and assess shareholder needs and goals.
