About Mughal Brother’s Construction Company (MBRCC)

Mughal Brothers Construction and Road Buliding Company (MBRCC) is a private company that is established in 2011, supports and successfully completed numerous power distribution (6KV and 20KV) and transmission line (220KV and 500KV) projects in Afghanistan. Currently there are four major running power projects with MBRCC; 1) construction portion of CASA1000 Lot3, 2) Dasht-e-Alwan to Arghandi 500 KV Transmission Lines, 3) Chamtala to Tarakhail Substation 220KV Transmission Line and 4) Arghandi to Buthkhak Substation 220KV Transmission Line.

Job Description

The Information Technology (IT) Officer will be responsible to maintain overall IT set-up of MBRCC in Kabul and Site Offices in Afghanistan by keeping all the computers, printers, scanners, UPS, Stabilizers, networking and the internet system is in functioning condition.

IT Officer will have problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure. S/he will maintain and troubleshoot internet, email and computer facilities in the concerned offices as required. Also, will maintain and keep network environment up to date with technological development.

Job Requirements

  • Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software and networks
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers and servers
  • Provide technical support to users, including troubleshooting and resolving IT-related problems
  • Ensure security of IT systems, including data backup, antivirus protection and access controls
  • Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs
  • Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures and standards to ensure compliance and security
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools and solutions to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand IT needs and requirements
  • Document IT systems, configurations, and procedures for knowledge sharing and training.
  • Manages and Maintains Wireless Network in the MBRCC main and site offices
  • Manages all IT related issues and provides support to IT officers across the main and site offices
  • Updates the inventory of computers, printers, scanners, UPS and stabilizers etc.
  • Liaise with computer vendors; Internet Service Providers (ISP) and other IT providers
  • Design and implement intermediate and advanced computer trainings for newly hired employees
  • Undertake any other duty/task assigned by the supervisor.
