Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain end-user workstations, servers, Wi-Fi systems, network cabling, communication systems, televisions and other related equipment, devices, and systems
- Troubleshoot, prioritise, and resolve hardware, connection, printer, and software issues reported by users via our ticketing system
- Upgrade software, install patches, and update operating systems on a regular basis
- Create, update, and delete user accounts when requested
- Provide IT support and advice for both hardware and software issues that users encounter
- Assist with IT Training for users on existing or new IT systems
- Assist in the development and updating of our technical knowledgebase, including self-help guides for users
- Liaise with 3rd party IT suppliers / support companies by logging new faults / requests and assist them towards a quick resolution
- Ensure the integrity and security of business data and IT Network in accordance with business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
- Assist with out of hours IT Maintenance on live systems
Qualifications
- Applicant can show experience as IT Technician or related position, or from a relevant university / college course
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of computer systems, Windows and MacOS operating systems, DHCP, TCP/IP, and NAT
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
