Summary

The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for managing the QA processes for software products, ensuring high-quality software releases through comprehensive testing, automation, and adherence to best practices. This role involves leading the QA team, establishing test strategies, and working closely with development and product teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive software QA strategy, including automated and manual testing frameworks.
  • Lead and mentor the QA team, providing guidance on testing methodologies and tools.
  • Establish and enforce software quality standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with development, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are defined and met.
  • Design, implement, and maintain manual and automation test scripts and regression suites.
  • Manage the defect lifecycle, including identification, tracking, and resolution.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure the integration of testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to software QA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Must have experience with managing offshore QA team.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with manual testing of large enterprise software.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Experience with data validation is a plus.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Bamboo.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Salary: $100,000 – $110,000
