The NBL Group, in partnership with the Wollemi Capital Group Syndicate, is redefining the future of women’s basketball in Australia. The Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) is poised for an exciting transformation, with a new ownership structure, an elevated game, and a new level of excitement with the goal of being a global leader in women’s sport.

We’re recruiting a variety of new roles in advance of the WNBL 2025/26 season – a move reflecting a strategic effort to enhance the management and operations of the WNBL, ensuring it aligns with broader goals for growth, visibility, and competitive success within women’s basketball.

With a new ownership structure and elevated game experience, the WNBL is advancing its visual identity across all platforms. The Graphic Designer will create compelling content that captures the energy and excellence of women’s basketball.

What You’ll Do

As Graphic Designer, you’ll be responsible for creating innovative and visually captivating content that enhances the WNBL’s brand presence across multiple platforms.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you’ll develop graphics, motion graphics, and video content that drives audience engagement and strengthens the league’s visual identity.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Design & Content Development

  • Design compelling visual content across social media, website, digital advertising and print
  • Develop and maintain high-quality design assets aligned with WNBL brand guidelines
  • Lead conceptualisation and creation of engaging content for campaigns and promotions

Motion Graphics & Animation

  • Create dynamic motion graphics and animations for social media and digital platforms
  • Support video editing needs while maintaining consistent design quality
  • Measure and optimise content performance through engagement metrics

Brand & Event Design

  • Drive game day and event design coverage across all digital channels
  • Maintain and evolve the WNBL’s visual identity through innovative design solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-impact creative outcomes

What You Bring

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in graphic design or related creative role
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro
  • Strong portfolio showcasing graphic design, animation, and motion graphics work
  • Demonstrated experience in brand guideline implementation
  • Expert knowledge of content creation across social media and digital platforms
  • Intermediate to advanced motion graphics and animation capabilities
  • Strong eye for detail with proven project management abilities
