Job Purpose
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the areas you were assigned to particularly but not limited to inside and outside of Kitchen various other cleaning duties.
Job Responsibilities
- Capability to perform repetitious duties
- Performing other reasonable job duties as assigned by direct supervisors from time to time
- Ensuring the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times
- Operating pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards
- Collecting and removes trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures
- Disposing of waste as per authority standards and recycling guidelines and ensuring waste bin areas are kept clean and tidy
- Carrying out general cleaning as directed to include sweeping, mopping up, washing up, emptying of rubbish bins and boxes ensuring placement in the correct containers
- Cleaning and sanitizing pots, pans, utensils, and other minor equipment routinely used in the kitchen following established procedures
- Washing, wiping, sorting, stacking dishes, and load/unload dishwasher
- Washing, wiping, sorting, stacking and storing all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner
- Cleaning and maintaining floors and walls in kitchen and dish washing area by following standard procedures
- Checking all chemical levels and inventory
- Adhering to all sanitation guidelines
- If any breakages or chipped items are found, then removing them from circulation and update the breakage and inventory register
- Reporting any maintenance or hazard issues to the Sous-Chef or Head Chef
- Always maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role or in the hospitality industry
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure
