Job Description

SUMMARY: The Critical Access Hospital Administrator is responsible for managing the overall operations of the hospital, ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services, driving revenue growth, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations. The Administrator will also foster relationships with physicians, staff, and the community to maintain the hospital’s mission of serving rural populations with excellence in care.

Baxter Health Compliance Responsibilities

Understands and adheres to Baxter Health standards as they appear in Dynamic Health and Healthstream Policy Manager.

Required to work with the Baxter Health System Vice President of Ancillary Services regularly to carryout, initiate and/or implement best practices for the Baxter Health Fulton County Hospital Department.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor Degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field** (Master’s degree preferred).

Experience: 5-7 years of healthcare management experience, preferably in a rural or critical access hospital setting.

Other: In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, databases and general office equipment. Must be extremely detail oriented, organized and conscientious to ensure high quality work. Excellent time-management and follow-up skills to ensure work deadlines are met. Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Must be a positively contributing team

player and possess willingness to be cross-trained in other functional areas. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with regard to employment data, HIPAA, and departmental operations.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Flexible work schedule, 5 days a week, Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts.
