Logistics Coordinator
HyperLight is a venture-backed startup spun off from Harvard University in 2018 based on discoveries that enabled thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) photonics. Our photonic integrated circuits offer exceptional performance unmatched by other materials and are manufactured at high volume and low cost. We design and manufacture tailored chips to customers around the world for optical communications, sensing, and emerging photonic technologies like quantum computing and AR/VR. We partner with our customers from conceptualization to mass production to deliver new regimes of system performance.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator who specializes in high value goods to join our team. The person in this position will be responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving of HyperLight’s products, ensuring that all items are handled with the utmost care, trackability, and security. This key hire will be an essential part of the supply chain, receiving items for processing and ensuring our end products reach our customers safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations for high-value goods.
- Ensure the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Liaise with vendors to receive shipments, inspecting goods for both quality and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain detailed records of all logistics activities, including inventory management, shipping times, and transportation costs.
- Provide recommendations for logistics tools and systems, and own implementation of new tools, systems and processes as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably with high-value products.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
- Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Creative mindset with an eye for design and detail in packaging.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, or relevant field is preferred but not required.
Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is onsite at our office in Cambridge, MA.
